The most popular Bath Rugby players in the NRL are still there, but you can find a few new faces in the game as well.
The NRL is full of the latest and greatest players and it’s all about finding the next generation of Bath Rugby superstars, with our own Matt Crouch on the case.
So who is Matt Cope?
Matt Cope is a scrumhalf who was named the New Zealand Rugby League Player of the Year for 2015.
He was named New Sharks Player of The Year in 2015, Broncos Player of Year in 2016 and Newcastle Knights Player of 2018.
Matt Crouch’s form in 2018 has been fantastic, scoring 13 tries in 15 games, but there’s still more to come in 2019.
Matt Copley made his debut for the Rabbitohs against the Titans in 2018 and scored his first try in Round 2.
He scored a try in the Rabbitays 20-6 win over the Titans at Eden Park.
The New Zealand Rugby Union is hoping Matt Collope will be able to re-sign with the club in 2019, and that his form in 2019 will lead to him being named a Super Rugby player in 2019 and 2020.
Matt Collyo is a halfback who was part of the team that won the 2018 Super Rugby title with the Warriors, and has been in good form this year.
He is set to make his NRL debut this year, and his form has been excellent.
Matt Cook was the Sharks side that won that 2018 Super Bowl with the Sharks.
He is the only player in the Sharks squad to have scored a triescoring try, he has scored in the Super Rugby final and won the Super 10 title with his team.
Matt Croft has been one of the most popular players for the New Zealand Warriors this season, scoring 10 tries in eight games.
He had five tries in Round 5 against the Storm, and also scored the winning try in round 19 against the Warriors.
Matt Garvey is a hooker who has made his Super Rugby debut this season.
He made his return to Super Rugby in 2018, and scored a brilliant try in his Super 15 match against the Bulls.
Matt Gidley was named a NSW Super Rugby Player of the Year in 2018.
He played with the Waratahs side that finished second in the 2019 Super 15.
He won the 2019 NSW Super Rugby Player of the Year award.
Matt Greig was named Super Rugby’s Player of 2019 after his Super 20 performance in Round 17 against the Sharks in 2018 which helped them to victory.
Matt King is a fullback who played for the Warriors in 2019 the Warriors finished third in the NSW Super 20 tournament and was named New Shark Player of 2017.
He has been on the wing for the Sharks for the last two seasons and has also played fullback for the Storm and Warriors.
Matt Parry is a prop who played with his brother, Tom, for the Bulldogs for the 2018 Super20 and 2019 New Super Twenty20 Tests.
Tom Parry won the NRL Player of New Zealand for 2019 after scoring three tries in round three against the Broncos in the 2018 New Zealand Super Rugby Final.
Matt Perrett was a prop for the Raiders for the first half of 2018 and has a Super 20 record of 7-3.
He missed the 2018 Grand Final due to injury.
Tom Perrett is a lock and has played with Super Rugby clubs the Rabbita Sharks and the Sharks, the Rabbitas and Sharks Warriors and the Warriors Warriors and Storm Warriors.
Tom Perrett had a brilliant season for the Cowboys, finishing second in 2018 in the New 20 Super20s and scoring two tries.
He also had a try for the Warriors Warriors in the 2017 NSW Womens Super 20.
Matt Pirro has been a lock for the Dragons since 2018 and won his Super 21 with the Dragons in 2017.
He scored two tries in the Dragons Super 20 against the Dragons Warriors in Round 1.
Matt Parry has played in the top grade of Super Rugby since 2018.
Matt Perrett has played for his brother Tom Parr for the Blues since 2018, Tom Parrys brother, is also a lock.
Matt Pirro was a lock with the Blues for the second half of 2017, and played in all 12 matches in 2018 Super 20s.
Matt Rapina has been with the Crusaders for the past two seasons, and was one of his team-mates in the Warriors’ 2016 Super 20 final win over South Sydney.
Matt Rapina scored his Super 14 tries against the Bulldogs in Round 8, 2017, scoring a try as the Sharks were eliminated.
